CNC Machinist A

Location : Auburn
Job Type : Temp/Contract

Shifts and Compensation:


  • 1st Shift - (6:00am-2:00pm) (7:00am-3:00pm)

  • $21-$23**

  • **Depending on experience


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work independently in planning, layout, set‐up and operation of CNC and Manual Machine tools.

  • Proof read and edit CNC programs as required

  • Understands set up operation & program of G & M codes

  • Responsible for machining and inspecting product to insure it is within specifications

  • Perform all machining operations, including but not limited to Milling, Turning, Facing, Drilling, Reaming, Threading, Tapping, Deburring and assembly of product

  • Perform basic machine maintenance as instructed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Fully responsible for the quality of their own work

  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures and practices

  • Must be a team player and participate in efforts to achieve department and company goals

  • Work overtime as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned



 
Required Qualifications :
Candidate Requirements:


  • Be able top read complex blue prints

  • Understand order of machining operations and good manufacturing practices

  • Understand set-up operation and program of G & M codes

  • Be able to read and understand precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers and indicators)

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Be able to lift at least 50 pounds

  • Be able to use personal protective equipment 

  • Must weat steel toe shoes

  • Must undergo background and drug screening


Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in the set-up and operation of CNC and Manual Machine Tools

  • Basic computer skills (data entry, editing, searching)
