Accounts Payable Clerk*

Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This is a temp to hire position offering room to grow along with great benefits. 


Schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-5p with overtime available


Summary: Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions and the completion of certain general ledger account reconciliations.

Essential Duties

  • Sort, code, and match invoices

  • Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests

  • Set invoices up for payment

  • Enter and upload invoices into system

  • Track expenses and process expense reports

  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices

  • Prepare and perform check runs & ACH payments

  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions

  • Prepare analysis of accounts

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

  • Maintain vendor files

  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

  • Produce monthly reports

  • Assist with month-end closing

  • Maintain accurate historical records

  • Complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations
