Job Details:
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Position: Production Associate - Assembler
Shift: First Shift (6:00 am - 2:30PM)
Position Summary:
Following specified methods, assemble compact air conditioning units which have a large number of very light, light or average weight parts by performing a wide variety of fitting, assembly and alignment procedures. Make fits using hand and power tools, and adjust and align parts for free working and proper clearance. Make operating tests and final adjustments, as necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Experience:
This is a trainable position. Six months HVAC or Auto Mechanic experience preferred.
Skills:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Must take direction well from their supervisor and follow instructions. Good attitude. Able to work as part of a team. Ability to lift required loads. Manual dexterity sufficient to handle tools and material required for this position. Attention to detail. Must be able to work well with fellow co-workers.
Able to pass EPA section 608 test for charging of refrigerant. Will train.
Detailed mind set.
Ability to learn HVAC basic working principals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. Experienced employees in this position may train new hires at the discretion of the Shift Supervisor.
Physical Demands:
Standing, bending and reaching. Relatively mid to high noise level. Must wear, safety glasses and safety shoes. Manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Normal range of vision and hearing.
Mental Demands:
Ability to follow direction. Read and understand and complete required paperwork.
Working Conditions: Occasional overtime or odd hours. Factory setting.
